Can I order products not listed on this website?

General Fire buys from many suppliers although we may not show their entire product line If you need a product not shown, let us know. We will contact the vendor(s) and give you a special quotation.

Are there any product restrictions?

Laws and codes regarding the use of emergency warning devices vary greatly within the United States. Select products and color variations are restricted to Law Enforcement and Emergency Personnel only. When you place an order with us for a restricted item you are stating that you are authorized to make such a purchase and that you are in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws concerning the purchase and/or use of that product.

What are my payment options?

Do you have a minimum order?

Yes, Only $25.00.

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax will be added unless we have a state resale or tax exemption certificate on file.

How long do you guarantee your prices?

Prices are normally good for a year. In the rare event of a pricing error, General Fire reserves the right to charge the correct price. We also reserve the right to change prices without notice should market commodity conditions change. All published prices are in U.S. dollars and must be paid in U.S. dollars.

What is the warranty on your products?

We stand behind the quality and condition of our products. We want you to be completely satisfied with your order, or we’ll take it back. Manufacturer’s individual product warranties apply. This warranty does not apply to any product that has failed due to: improper installation, excessive voltages, unauthorized alterations, inadequate wiring, circuit protection, or other use or installation contrary to GFE’s recommendations. Warranties also do not apply to abuse, misuse, inadequate maintenance, unconventional use, or accidental damage. GFE assumes no liability for any incidental or consequential damages, expenses incurred in removal or reinstallation, expenses for packaging, handling, and shipping, or the cost of special access equipment.

GFE reserves the right to substitute a replacement product of equal value, should the original be unavailable or discontinued.

What happens if a product I order is damaged in shipment?

We take great care in filling, checking and packing your order. If, however, your merchandise is damaged during shipment, please note the damage on the delivery receipt and obtain an inspection report from the delivery service immediately.

How do I return a product?

On all returns, contact us first to obtain return authorization. Call Customer Service at (414) 475-0959 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm CST, Monday – Friday. Please have invoice number and date of invoice available. ALL RETURNS MUST BE MADE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RECEIVING YOUR PURCHASE.

Products need to be returned in their original condition unopened with no evidence of use. Closeout, special order or customized products are not returnable unless there is a product defect or a customization error on our part. A 20% restocking charge may be applied to cover costs associated with restocking. No C.O.D. shipments will be accepted and We will not responsible for lost or damaged items during the return shipment.

Information on Boot and Helmet Returns:

Boots and helmets may be returned if you determine the sizing is incorrect or it is not what you expected. The acceptance of your order must occur before you put them in service. Helmets and Boots returned with any indication of use will be sent back to you and credit denied. This includes and is not limited to scuff marks, marker, decals and perspiration marks. Do not remove any protective coverings from the faceshield, goggles or Bourke eye-shields until you decide to keep the helmet.
